Allergies

Allergies, as their name suggests are caused by allergens such as animal fur, mould spores, dust and/or pollen, top name a few. Salt therapy can help with the symptoms of allergies.

  • Salt's anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, mucolytic effects help target symptoms of allergies and reducing the impact on the patient

  • By reducing inflammation, salt helps the patient to breathe more easily and to reduce the discomfort of swelling (e.g. inflamed and/or swollen sinuses)

  • Salt helps to lower IgE levels, which helps the patient build up their natural resistance to allergies

  • The mucolytics effects of Halotherapy help loosen and clear the nasal passages and throat, allowing the patient to be less congested.

  • Salt's anti-inflammatory affects help sooth the patient by reducing the symptoms of colds, including blocked noses, sore throats and coughs

  • By lowering IgE levels (immune system sensitivity), salt therapy is able to help the patient build their natural defences against cold viruses
